Arlene Gray Redwood Search Malvern

Director

Arlene Gray left South Africa in 2004 and on arriving in the UK, Arlene decided to change career and left the world of finance. Her first job here in the UK was as a Recruitment Consultant and although not having much idea of what the role involved, Arlene found herself working in the fast paced role of healthcare recruitment where she was responsible for placing candidates throughout the UK.

In 2007 Arlene decided to leave her role and to become an independent agency specialising within the commercial sector, which then developed into her joining the franchise operation of Capital Strategy Associates in September 2008 – just as the recession began in the UK. Working from home, Arlene developed excellent relationships within the Worcester market and saw growth within the business during this difficult time period. As the business developed Arlene was able to move out of her dining room/office and into offices in Malvern and to grow her team of recruiters. The decision was taken to move the offices to Worcester in 2014.

Michelle and Arlene joined forces in 2014 and over time this resulted in Michelle becoming a business partner.

We decided in 2016 that we wanted to branch away (pun intended) from Capital Strategy Associates, and Redwood Search was born.

Arlene loves finding the right role for her candidates and supporting them in their next career decision. Arlene prides herself in offering her clients an excellent level of service, and enjoys working alongside them to help them find their perfect candidate.

Michelle McGovern Redwood Search

Michelle McGovern began her career in recruitment in the early 90’s joining Adecco in London where her first role was at their Baker Street branch. After 6 months, Michelle was promoted to Branch Manager of Notting Hill Gate and worked with the BBC and Marks & Spencers. Michelle’s love of travelling saw her working and travelling throughout Australia where she also worked for Adecco in their Sydney branch.

Michelle has worked in the Worcester area for many years now and has established good relationships with local and national companies providing them with the right staff to take their business forward. Michelle enjoys building a good working relationship with her clients and candidates and benefits from many recommendations which is proof that she can indeed recruit!

Now a partner in Redwood Search, Michelle is even more dedicated to helping people find the right role for them and will offer credible career advice if required and takes great pride in placing the right people in the right jobs. A confident recruiter with exceptional recruitment experience as well as always looking on the bright side of life!

Edward Jukes Redwood Search Worcester

Senior Recruitment Consultant

Edward Jukes started his career in customer services gaining valuable experience delivering excellent customer service as well as managing difficult situations. Edward then made the decision to move into a sales environment where his competitive nature naturally led him to working in a targeted environment whilst building strong relationships with clients to ensure he was providing the right solutions.

Edward likes to engage with his clients to learn more about their requirements and to identify problem areas so that he can develop the perfect solution and deliver results. This ensures that he can provide the candidates with a full picture of the company they are joining and the prospects available to them.

Edward enjoys spending his time away from work with his family, and enjoys DIY projects at home and playing football whenever he has the opportunity!

Edward is a valued member of the Redwood Team where he is providing a fabulous service to candidates and clients and helping them to flourish.

Kelly Ashby

Kelly Ashby

Senior Recruitment Consultant

Kelly Ashby is heading up our Insurance Division at Redwood Search alongside working with legal companies both locally and nationally within the UK. Kelly has developed valued relationships within these sectors and supplies them with qualified personnel in both temporary and permanent vacancies.

Kelly began her career working in Spain, when her family made the decision to move away from the UK. This enabled Kelly to gain a second language and become fluent in Spanish – although nobody here is able to verify that as most of our Spanish speaking skills are based around food and drink!

Luckily for us at Redwood Search, Kelly made the decision to return to the UK and after a successful role as an Administration Manager for a worldwide mobility company, Kelly decided that a new challenge was in order and she joined the Recruitment Industry. This position was based around placing people in legal and insurance roles and this is where Kelly was finally able to enjoy an environment which she is so passionate about.

Kelly enjoys meeting her clients and candidates to gain a thorough and in depth understanding of their requirements which makes sure Kelly is placing the right people in the right roles every time.

Hannah Steer

Hannah Steer started her career in HR within an admin role before progressing into recruitment. For the past 7 years, Hannah has worked within the recruitment industry across various sectors to include building services, facilities management and sales and marketing. Hannah has worked as a recruitment consultant as well as within in-house recruitment which gives her a varied background and helps her to relate to both candidates and clients to develop long lasting relationships!

Hannah Steer is originally from Weston-Super-Mare and has recently relocated to Worcester where she is looking forward to working with businesses who can benefit from her recruiting experience – please give her a call to see how she can help you!

In her spare time, Hannah is often found walking her dog and attending various music events.

Chris Evans

Chris Evans started his career in banking gaining valuable experience delivering excellent customer service as well as managing all different kinds of situations. Chris then made the decision to move into Recruitment as he wanted to work more closely with people, whilst building relationships with candidates and clients alike, helping them and businesses to achieve their life and career goals.

Chris is originally from Wolverhampton and has recently relocated to Worcester after spending five years living in Australia and New Zealand. After travelling and living and working in various places and roles, Chris decided to live in Melbourne where he continued his career in recruitment. Now back in the UK, Chris is looking forward to building professional relationships to help companies and candidates looking for their next role and wants to have fun while doing it.

Chris enjoys spending his time away from work with his friends and family, watching most live sports (apart from cricket!) and going on long walks and hikes!
