Quality Co-Ordinator

£22 – 24K


Job Purpose:

This role is in place to support the HSQ Manager in relation to Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Health and Safety and regulatory aspects of Import & Export.

Person Profile

  • Willing to travel between two sites (Droitwich & Redditch)
  • Administration Experience.
  • Ability to work on own initiative.
  • Able to prioritize a busy workload with changing priorities.
  • Can work on own initiative.
  • Basic knowledge of Quality and/or Health and Safety within the Workplace.
  • Flexible.
  • Great attention to detail

Quality Assurance

  • Maintain and continually improve the packing section of the Quality Management System (ISO 9001).
  • Work with the HSQ Manager on implementing & achieving certification of new standards across both sites, e.g., ISO 14001, ISO 45001.
  • Create & prepare quality focused reports for both sites, e.g., Internal Non-Conformances, Customer Complaints, KPI’s.
  • Complete Internal Audits in relation to the QMS and Company Compliance Procedures, follow through on any corrective actions.
  • Liaising with Official Veterinarians, complete simple pallet checks and Export administration in relation to Export Health Certificates.
  • Complete Product Registration for new and existing overseas customers.
  • Typing up and issuing out of meeting minutes.
  • Filing 

Quality Control

  • Complete regular product and packaging checks within the warehouses, resolving any issues, or escalating if necessary.
  • Receive, inspect, and log retention samples across both sites. Effectively managing the end-to-end process.
  • Prepare and dispatch samples for laboratory testing, review the results and prepare a report for the Technical Manager, escalating any urgent non-conformances that would impact product safety.
  • Work closely with the Customer Service Team.

Health & Safety

  • Across both sites, complete Fabric & Hygiene Audits and issue out recommended corrective actions to the shop floor staff.
  • Complete Incident Investigation packs as required.
  • Chair Internal H&S meetings and escalate any immediate concerns to the HSQ Manager.
  • Be a point of contact for contractors and ensure that work is being carried out safely.
  • Complete spot checks internally and propose any changes to working practices to the HSQ Manager.
  • Typing up and issuing of meeting minutes.
  • Purchasing within the Quality & H&S team, E.g, PPE, uniform, upkeep of facilities.
  • Filing
  • Complete Risk Assessments and inform the HSQ Manager of any changes to working practices as required.

Personal Management

  • Create, maintain, and enhance effective working relationships with peers and work colleagues both within the department and throughout the company.
  • Operate to high moral and personal standards.
  • Create and maintain working relationships with Contractors, Suppliers, and on-site visitors.

Skills/Knowledge and Qualifications

Excellent numeracy and literacy skills

  • Intermediate level of Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Previous Admin Experience
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Be able to work on own initiative and as part of a team
  • High attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and work to deadlines.
  • Flexible and committed in approach to the needs of the Company as a whole.
  • IOSH Qualified – Working Safely (Preferred)
